Frogman Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 I am needing to cover a factory flush mount on a Bass Cat Pantera. I was just wondering what material some of you have used to cover a hole like this. Also any tips you have on making it look as good as possible, please share. My plan is to cover the flush mount and use a Balzout mount to center (as close as possible) an EliteTI2 12 on my console. Quote
Shimano_1 Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 I'm in the process of the same thing and gonna use a mount similar to a dek it mount to mount a garmin 93sv uhd. Im going to cover the hole with an aluminum plate that I'm going to paint black. Quote
mcipinkie Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 Did the same thing on the bow of my new Skeeter. Covered the hole with Starboard. Can't recommend Starboard enough. Easy to work with. Rot proof. Works like wood except for glue. If you can build something nice with wood, you can with SB. Quote
Super User WRB Posted December 25, 2020 Super User Posted December 25, 2020 BassCat should have a consul hole cover that match’s their boats. Black anodized 1/8” thick plate is another option. Tom Quote
