I bought a BPS Extreme Qualifier 370 tackle bag back in January.  Used it a few times between then and late April, when I got a bigger Cabelas bag.

Recently started using it a little bit when I'm fishing with friends in their boats to save a little space.  After two trips, two of the zipper pulls have pulled off and two seams have begun to fail.

Not an isolated incident either.  TheBeast bought the same bag in February.  His is in worse shape.  Granted it has been used a bit more than mine.

They may look decent and have a good price, but IMO they're junk.  I don't know if you can find a better bag than the Cabelas Advanced Angler Pro Series bags.

Take it back.....BPS seems to be generous with their return policy, especially with their own products.

For me personally, I have given up on fishing tackle bags and boxes and have purchased a Jansport hiking backpack.  It holds tons of stuff, it's tuff as nails, waterproof and plus it has a lifetime warranty.  I have sent back a few over the years and I always get a new one back in the mail.

Just another suggestion.

I have the XPS 370 tackle bag. It's quality is decent enough - pretty tough actually. I've been using it for several years now and it's taken a lot of abuse and it's held up well. But the design is a pain in the ***.

First, there is a compartment on the front that holds bottles of scents. All fine and well. But this compartment is part of the front flap that you have to unzip and lay flat to access the 370 boxes inside the bag. Sounds OK, but if you actually have bottles of scents in the scent compartment, then try to slide the bottom box out, it won't come out because the lump from the scent bottles sticks up too high. So you actually have to prop the fron bottom edge of the bag up some so the front flap lays down even further so the bottom box will slide out.

Second, there are plastic shelves inside the bag that the 370 box slides into. The shelves flex and the boxes stick, so even the upper boxes can be hard to pull out.

These are the two worst feature of the bag in my opinion.

I've started to use BPS utility box carriers. Simple, rugged enough. No flaps to deal with. No zippers. just a bag that carries boxes. But if I were to buy another bag, I'd get the Cabelas, too.

You're referring to a different bag.

The one I'm talking about is the red bag.

Yes, I know.  I've checked out the one you have and it felt flimsy.  But even BPS's best bag, the one I have, sucks.

I agree with your comments about the Cabela's bag.  If it's got the quality of he packs I've purchased from them, it's a good bag.  On top of that, the boxes load into the bag from the top, like they are supposed to.  Not the front like my XPS bag.
