Something like 90% of what I've learned fishing has been applying knowledge I got here. Absolutely amazing members and content.

And such a joyful bunch too - everyone's just trying to help. And the worm turns - the high point of my fishing week this week was that something I said on the forums helped a member catch some fish.

Started here a while ago.

Eventually ventured to a few other bass sites.

The drama was over bearing.

I soon bailed on every one.

This is the only site I frequent now

because there's just nothing else close IMO.

You folks have helped me so many times and in so many ways,

I could never explain it or ever come close to showing enough gratitude.

And I bet less than half of it has anything to do with bass fishing.

Thank you just doesn't seem sufficient.

Agreed, I tried a few other sites and none are even close. Maybe it's because I'm just so used to this one and the people I recognize here. Feels like home.

Bass Resource has a good "feel" to it that the others didn't have for me. Like an old comfortable coat maybe. Or an old favorite rod maybe. And the overall site and content can't be beat.

I think a lot of it is due to Glenn, his videos, his presence and temperament, even the rules that keep us in line. He sets the tone.

I joined in June of this year and what a FIND.. I am  on everyday to read, share in the information, comradery and good feelings that come from everyone.

Not to get to touchy feely, but this is really a group of empathetic folks who appear to not only care about fishing, but each other. I agree it is like going to a local tackle shop and easing into a chair with a cup of whatever and enjoying the moment.

Thanks everyone....  Glenn, all the moderators and all the folks who share a love of fishing.

I've been bass fishing 3 years and learned 95% or more of what I know here at BR. I'm getting consistently better and having more fun. Not sure what more I can say than that!

Thanks everyone!

This truly is a special place. It's a place for us fishing nut-jobs to go because our "real-life" friends and family just don't understand us...or our addiction.

The best forums through 2020 have been where moderators up front barred any covid threads and posts.  Where they didn't, fishing went out the window, and local blame politics about who was preventing access (tourism) became the only content.  What we all really wanted and often needed is a respite from current events.

Hats off to BR admin and moderators for giving this place the attitude that forum members keep up.

From the very beginning, Glenn has insisted there be no political or religious postings. One of the “rules of the road here”. Posts of these types are deleted, and threads that go off in these directions are locked down.

The goal is to maintain a relaxed, family friendly place to hang out and chat with with new friends about fishing. I think we do a pretty good job keeping the place cleaned up. It’s Glenn’s vision we work to maintain. Thank him. He is the guide here.

I have been here just a few short weeks and I must say I enjoy the lack of drama! Some of the posts and topics will make you laugh or tug at your heart strings. The knowledge of all you guys and gals is amazing! I'm envious of some of your experiences and travels! The information available here is so vast. I have been fishing for most of my life and just keep learning. This site has become a habit quick. Thank you all for sharing your fishing lives !
