colefarrow_ Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Yes, when my new flipping rod comes in I’m using 50 pound braid Quote
Super User Catt Posted December 19, 2020 Super User Posted December 19, 2020 Just don't tell it it's a flipping rod or you will confuse it. 2 5 Quote
Shimano_1 Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Yes you can. I dont prefer it as I like a little shorter rod for frogging but a lotta guys throw em on longer heavy rods. 2 Quote

Super User FishTank Posted December 20, 2020 Super User Posted December 20, 2020 I would think so. The only thing I could see being an issue is if the rod tip is soft for a fast rod. Most flippin rods are pretty stiff so it should be good to go. It would help more if we knew which rod it was specifically. Quote
Super User WRB Posted December 20, 2020 Super User Posted December 20, 2020 Who flips today? You can easily use the frog rod to pitch. Tom 1 Quote
