Super User Koz Posted December 23, 2020 Super User Posted December 23, 2020 Garth Brooks did a Christmas album a while back and he recorded classics in Big Band style. Garth Brooks & the Magic of Christmas is one of my favorites. For some off beat Christmas music, nothing beats songs covered by Bowling for Soup. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 24, 2020 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 24, 2020 This is one of my recent favorites Quote

schplurg Posted December 30, 2020 Posted December 30, 2020 I'd be happy to never hear another Xmas song for the rest of my life. I'm 53 and I've just heard enough. Reminds me of cash registers and annoying relatives. 1 Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted December 30, 2020 Author Super User Posted December 30, 2020 I like Christmas music. Quote
dave Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 Almost all of what is on the radio all season prior to actual Christmas Eve is the same secular musical dregs. I can barely tolerate it. Even the songs that relate specifically to the real meaning of Christmas when they are arranged for pop music...ugh. I go through the entire season (Advent) tolerating family and officemates need to hear Christmas music for weeks on end and I am not in the mood (or Christmas spirit) for any of it. However, once I walk into the church for midnight Mass on Christmas Eve, it is like someone flips a switch and there is no place I'd rather be. Luckily like most things seasonally secular, the Christmas music magically disappears Dec 26th. 2 Quote
