If you could spend one day on the water with a pro who would it be?

Mine: Edwin Evers

Wheeler....He is from around my area originally. I think it would be great to talk about spots here, and the the pro stuff.

There are a lot of guys that would fit the bill for me:

Wheeler

MDJ

Skeet Reese sounds like he'd be a hoot to fish with

Feider

But when it comes down to it, would be hard not to say KVD

Kevin Van Dam because he lives across town from me, I have met him and a signed Zebco 33(I only have it for decorative purposes), and he is one of the best bass fisherman ever!(Highest earnings ever) And also I caught my old pb at his pond until I dethroned it with my current pb. I mean now that I think about it, I would consider him THE best bass fisherman ever.

Arguably?

Nvm he is one of the best. I'm gonna change that. I was going for the more neutral approach, but I wasn't considering all he's done.

Changed.

The Professionals I have fished with include Glenn & Keri May, Big O, Tim "hotdawg" Curtis,

James "Big Catfish" Patterson and Bill Dance. I had the opportunity to have dinner with several

of the pro at a Bass University event, Mile Iconelli and his wife, Gerald Swindle & wife and

Brandon Palaniuk.  Chris Lane was our keynote speaker at a BassResource Roadtrip a week

 after winning the BassMasters Classic.

I would like to fish with G-Man.

Always an engaging subject here ~

Spending a day on or (or even off the water for that matter) with a human who possesses a vast level of both bass fishing knowledge & experience as well as the desire, communication skills and overwhelming passion to pass some of that on effectively, might be like hitting the bass fishing lottery.

I'll apply the term 'pro' in my own way and go with BR forum members

@WRB and @Catt

School's in session.

Tough one. I am not much of a talker when I fish so I don't know if I would get much out of it as far as conversation goes. Now, if it were just to be someone to learn from, I would say Ott because I feel like I fish a similar style as him and maybe trying to learn the when's, where's and how's from him would help me tremendously.

Other than that, maybe a few local guys like Bradley Hallman, Luke Palmer or Zack Birge just so I could get a feel for how they fish different lakes in the area. I have seen Bradley and Zack a few times on the water at different lakes that I have been fishing at but I certainly wasn't going to bother them.

Rick Clunn. I saw a documentary about Takahiro Omori in which he asked to fish with Clunn when he was getting into BASS in the US. Omori didn't speak any English at the time. Clunn said he fished from the front of the boat all day mostly in silence while Omori sat in the back and observed. They became good friends. I've always thought Clunn is really good dude.

Or Gerald Swindle because he's fun. Or Brauer because he specializes in the jig, one of my favorite baits. Also, a couple guys who seem like a blast to hang out all day with are Timmy Horton and Ish Monroe.

No one picked Aaron Martens yet?  That guy's attention to details freaks me out sometimes. I'm sure I could learn a lot from him. Besides him, it's gonna be KVD or Scott Martin - one for education, one for entertainment.

If the reel cover's signature isn't too faded and the pic is under 1.46 MB, then I'll find, take a picture, and post the picture of the autograph on the reel on this thread.

I've been lucky enough to have fished with & against several Pros but I would agree with @A-Jay & pick a few Bassresource members.

@A-Jay I said it before only if it's at night!

Good question.

Probably Jacob Wheeler. He is (arguably) currently the best all around angler in the world right now. He also always seems like he’s having fun.

Some others that I would want to fish with-

Scott Martin

Mike Iaconelli

KVD

I also have fished with several pro’s over the years mostly from the back in tournaments. A few I stay in contact with even today.
But I’ll tell ya, I’ve learned more from some of the full time local guides than I have from some of them.

But the one man I would pay whatever he wants to fish with would be Big O again.
The last time we fished together it was advanced nuclear science!

The subject matter was one thing, but the little nuances of what he knows blew me away.

But there are a few on this board that I would love to fish with any time anywhere

John Cox.  Would’ve been just as good 30 years ago without any of the electronics. Can’t say the same about everyone else.

Greg Hackney. Even if we don't catch anything it would probably still be a great day on the water.
