Super User DitchPanda Posted December 16, 2020 Super User Posted December 16, 2020 Looking for some insight on this bait. Is it a cold water bait or warm? Anybody have any luck with it? Quote
PotatoLake Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 I have one, I'd say its a more cold water bait. Watch here. I haven't it given enough time on the water, but I dig the action in the water when I see it. No fish yet. Quote
Super User Columbia Craw Posted December 17, 2020 Super User Posted December 17, 2020 I purchased three as soon as they were available. It has a tighter wiggle than a square bill, much like it’s deeper brother the Depp Little N. It did well in October in 54 degree water for smallmouth. I see this bait being a great pre spawn bait but won’t hesitate to throw it in warmer temperatures. Quote
Smells like fish Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 I’ve never seen one yet in person but when you read “speed” in a crankbaits name I’d assume it was meant for burning. Speaking of which did you guys hear Matt Allen a few weeks ago talking about burning deep winter cranks in cold water? His River to Sea deep crank is built for that purpose. I’d imagine this Norman lure was built for southern lakes in winter hitting 6-7’ deep. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted December 17, 2020 Global Moderator Posted December 17, 2020 Haven't gotten to use mine much yet but hoping to get some miles on it this winter. It's a nice bait with a tight wobble so I think it will do well during the colder months or anytime they want a less aggressive swim. Quote

One of the reasons I don't use Norman lures (other than the Fat Boy) is that too high a percentage don't run true. So I would adjust the line tie, and they would run OK ..... for a while. Then I'd have to do the whole thing over again. Does this Speed N run true? Thnx. jj Quote
