I figured I try out a few jars and get some hair jigs and some more Kalins grubs. When I went to the site I got a mailing list popup asking me to enter my email and spin the wheel. Okay, whatever...

I got 10% off on my entire order. Merry Christmas !!!

Put that puppy on a Johnson Spoon ?

Most people have no idea how deadly a Johnson Silver Minnow with a #11 pork frog can be. It's still one of my favorites in heavy cover.

Same reaction here. Best bet is amazon to save on shipping (they only carry the green color)

Green can be dyed black or brown with RIT liquid dye. White is the best choice to dye.

Pork trailer will outlast the jig?

Not if you lose the jig. I’m not into throwing bottom baits that cost that much, especially when the trailer costs more than the jig.

Make your own isn’t expensive. I will email you the recipe, it’s on this site somewhere.

I would just rig it on one of these. Man, it would slither through any cover. Unmatched action to boot. Pretty much fished it like a Fluke/Slug-Go.

Amazon showing will be back in stock in March. In my estimation they will ramp up production only to find out initial demand was much higher than ongoing demand ... then we get some sweet sales.

Pent up demand satisfied, you could be right!

Dang I should have bought some when I was looking at them a few days ago. Has anyone tried the berkley Maxscent chunks? They have a chunk that looks exactly like a pork chunk and with the Maxscent and the pork style trailer profile it might be a really great jig trailer. I’ve only ever used craws and beavers as trailers but this spring I’m going to give the zoom and Maxscent chunks an honest try.

First 5lb fish was a maxscent chunk on a bitsy jig in the winter. I've never fished a pork frog so I can't say how it is different, but it is definitely different than most plastics.

My Thursday order arrived yesterday.  Well packed, too.  ?

The square jars are a little different, but at least the lids won't rust.

Randy Blauket did a little video on these.

The quality looks worse that the old Uncle Josh baits, which in this century, were largely garbage.

I wouldn't mind the price if all of them were good baits, but the old UJ went out of business because they couldn't find good pork.  Full disclosure, I haven't seen them myself, only looked at Randy's video.  I've probably got enough No.11 and No. 1 to last me the rest of my life.  I don't use them much in that size.

I want some no. 101 spin frogs.  I would probably pay far too much for them.  I fish them on deer hair jigs.  Got hung last week.  Had to break one off.  I can buy, or make, more deer hair jigs, but 101 Spin Frogs are hard to find and dear to buy.
