I am currently looking at buying the 6’4” medium Delay Series bait casting rod for fishing jerkbaits and top water and the 7’2” medium spinning rod for fishing shakey heads and maybe senkos.

Does anyone have any experience with these specific rods?

Also, don’t judge, but does anyone know if these rods are made in China?
I just prefer to buy gear that is made by those who are better partners with the U.S.

I think all Abu rods, or any rods owned by the Pure Fishing company, are made in China.

That would include

Abu

Berkley

Fenwick

Penn

Shakespeare

Ugly Stick

thinking about picking one up too. i played with one in store and really liked the form fitting grip of the handles. it felt glove like and its pretty sexy to look at.

I fish an “Ike” Spinning Rod version. It is China but I do love the rod.

You can buy a G Loomis or St Croix rod that is made in the USA. Although I'm not too sure how good a partner the USA is with itself right now.
