I have never caught a bass on a jigging spoon or whopper plopper but I have never used one either.  Don't even own any.  I have definitely considered the jigging spoon on some of the shad lakes I fish but I haven't tried that yet.  I haven't caught any smallmouth on a Dark Sleeper, and I have tried, but I have caught plenty of largemouth on them.

I think it has been interesting to see that most of us have a nemesis in the bait world that for whatever reason, and try as we might, it just hasn't happened for us yet. And then we see that others regard that same bait as their go-to confidence bait.

Drop shot.  Can't figure it out.

It's slow and aggravating, but if you find the fish, they will bite it.  Just remember to slow down and dont overwork the bait

I’ll get there.  Hell I’m about to try this morning. Jig at least.

I cannot seem to catch them on a crankbait to save my life. My goal for 2021 is to learn the way of the crank.

I think it’s more of a question of not that I have never caught a fish on a bait but have I caught more than 1.

Some baits I retire after I catch at least 1 Bass that’s how difficult the struggle was. The Arbogast Buzz Plug comes to mind...one and done.
