I would imagine many of us have a bait or three that we just have not have ANY luck at all with that is probab;ly a bait that most others have had VERY good luck with. So here goes. . . .

Try as I might, never have I ever caught a bass on a    Senko    .

Feels good to get that off my chest, LOL.

Your turn.

I had a Striper size Bagley Shad .  I tried and tried to catch a bass with that thing after seeing huge shad in bass throats .I threw it so much that the lip fell out and never caught a bass one . Also a Musky Jitterbug . I  quit trying to catch bass on large plugs .

Bladed jigs.  Regular jigs and spinnerbaits will land fish all day for me.  So you think these would at least be okay.  Maybe it's just initial bad luck which morphed into a self fulfilling prophecy, but I've never even got a bite on one.

Crankbait, drop shot, wacky rig, shaky head, and jigging spoon are the ones that come to mind.

My name is 12poundbass and I need serious help! ?

T-Rig is my bane...

Buzzbait - mainly because I haven't fished them much

A beetle spin.  If I have ever caught a bass on one, I can't remember doing it.

I also don't remember ever catching a bass on one of those. Haven't thrown one since I was little though...

Whopper plopper is the only one I can think of, but I’ve only used the big one. I found a small one in the water the other day so that may change, I’ve seen them caught with the 90

I'll stand with my Michigan folks and join the no luck on a jigging spoon club.

Wow some of these answers are surprising.  A senko? I'd think a man could catch a bass in a mud puddle on a senko lol. I get it tho some guys just tend to fish different than others. Im trying to remember but I can't think of a fish I've ever landed on a walking bait. I've had some blow up on em and my partner wrecks fish on em but I've always gotta throw a different topwater to catch em. Hopefully I'll change that in 2021

Can't really think of many. As previously mentioned, beetle spin and Whopper Plopper. Drop shot is another, but I thought that was more of a vertical tactic which isn't used much by bank burners, like myself. Other than that, I think I've caught fish on pretty much everything I've thrown. Not that I have much variety.

You made me go down and look into my lure collection lol.

I can say I never catch bass on crankbait but then again I never give them time or try them hard enough. I caught bluegill and crappie on tiny crankbait but that I set my goal to catch one.
All I can say I’m weak at moving bait all around, like spinnerbait, paddle tail swimbait, deep and shallow crank. Those will be the last things I take out fishing with me lol.

Get the cotton Cordell 2 pack for like 3-4$ and bounce them around on bottom. They usually come loose from most snags but are cheap anyway. I found the best spot of my life with one . You know when you see awesome stuff on the depth finder all the time but never actually catch the fish. Well I saw something good, dropped the spoon, and wham nice smallie. Been camping out right there catching big fish for a couple years now, any lure works but I found them by searching quickly with the spoon. I’ve caught fish with them my whole life but that’s an instance where it helped drop quickly on several spots until I found the magic. Blade bait works the same way

Spinner bait.  I always seem to encounter toothy critters when I throw them.  Not complaining, but would be nice to get what I'm fishing for.  Funny enough, I tend to catch a lot of pike on Senkos too.

As far as plastic goes. I have at least 30-40 bags that haven’t caught anything.

Do they catch grass? Because that's all I ever catch when a treble hook gets even close to the lake bottom. ?

I think we all have bags and bags of those, but is there any particular one surprises you the most, given how much others seem to love them?
