I found this Legend Tournament 7’1” MF casting rod on Craigslist for $80. Go to look at it and the reel seat is upside down. I tell him that and he says oops I just reglued it with gorilla glue. It hadn’t hardened up yet so I put it in place like it should be. I wasn’t planning on buying it and then we started talking.
Come to find out he was so down on his luck he was selling it for food money. He just lost his son 6 months ago ( I lost my son 2 years ago) and brought his daughter in-law and 3 kids into his home while he has no job because of the shut downs.
So I bought it.
What type of adhesive do I use?

Use a 2 part epoxy.

Any certain kind better than another?

Any name brand 2 part epoxy designed as an adhesive, not a wrap epoxy.  Your hardware has it.  Do not skimp, use plenty, and have paper towels and denatured or 90% (or close) alcohol ready to clean up any epoxy that gets out onto surfaces on the outside, where you don't want it.  You have to clean it up while the epoxy is uncured.  Once it's cured, you're screwed.  Easy peasy, and it will never fail again.

Glad your repair was successful but more importantly, props for helping someone who’s helping others even when down on their own luck. Sorry for your loss. Everyone should be survived by their kids.

Worked like a charm. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback.  It's nice to know when something works out as planned.
