Seeing how I don’t have a boat, I usually have to use my legs to get to where I can catch fish. It’s also a How To Train Your Dragon movie reference. The kids like those movies. Honestly, so do I. ?

What does your Bass Resource name signify, if anything?

Mine is simple. It’s pronounced fish.

gh as in tough

o as in women

ti as in nation

My vote for best member name is slonezp

Maybe he will come along and explain.

Very creative! :)

Mine is an onomatopoeia (ya I had to look up that spelling). Like a sound effect - "splat!" I believe I was imagining a frog being squished. Back around 1996 on ICQ chat.

Kinda wished I had a different one but oh well. At least it's unique.

I still have a tackle box that I made back in the 80's for fishing on half day boats back when I lived in Redondo Beach. I would always be looking for a place to sit while heading to the fishing grounds, so I made my own that would always be available to only me. When I showed it to a fishing buddy, he said, "Oh, that's a 'glug box!"

I asked what a glug box was and he said it's called a glug box because when you throw it over the side of the boat, it goes "glug, glug, glug". I have called it that ever since then.

Took a 3/8oz bullet sinker to the head... it went under the skin and looked like one of those crazy brow implants. Guess I kind of looked half Neanderthal. Squeezed it back out like a zit, but it left me with one heck of a black eye and the nickname. It makes for a pretty cool story though.

@Boomstick I discovered Army of Darkness in 1995. My current signature has been the one I have used on every form of media that allows since then.

Well, previously (since Feb of 18 when I joined) my signature read "Shop smart, shop S-Mart!". It is currently suspended while the mods decide if it violates the policy that prohibits the promotion of a company that isn't a site sponsor. ?

Snake = college nickname that stuck.

95 = just a number.

(Wish it was my birth year! but I'm in the middle age range now).

I was a major Slipknot fan for a long time. I was also into LaVeyan satanism. I've gone more to the country/folk side now, and I'm back to just being a regular atheist. I don't really see a point in changing my name, though. I'm not very good at coming up with original usernames.

Middle names of my daughters. Jade and Rose.  I usually capitalize the Rose but just forgot when I got on here.  I know it's feminine and people have asked me in the past if I was man or a woman.  Just a dude that loves his kids and is very comfortable with his own masculinity...lol

My brother-in-law's screen name is VivianC. We used to be in a weekly football pool. A buddy's dad was in the pool as well. My buddy's dad wanted to meet VivianC because he thought any woman who was so into football was someone he could spend the rest of his life with.

CATT orginally stood for Cajun Anglers Tournament Tackle, I built spinnerbaits & crankbaits for a few tournament anglers.

Changed to Catt - Carol and Tommy Thibodeaux

In college we were heavy into flag football, competing in several state and national tournaments. I bought a really nice pair of cleats but was too ignorant to admit they were too small, and tore my feet up.

I would only play games in them, never practiced in them. We scrimmaged a team and they wouldn’t let me play without cleats on a muddy field. We played anyways and first play I split them for a touchdown. Some yelled No Shoes and it stuck.

This was 2013ish, I still hear it when I go back to campus sometimes
