What reel to put on my new football jig rod? (Daiwa)

I went with the Megabass Orochi EMTF for my football jig rod for a few reasons. The main one being it is available and most others are not at the moment. I think for 1/2oz football jig rods from my reading that it should work well. So now I just need to figure out what reel I want to put on it. I have recently made the switch to Daiwa. So I am looking at either the Tatula Elite for the long distance casting or a Zillon SV TW. I have read a couple of places that while the SV system is amazing at having more controlled casts, it is not that great for distance casting. With a 1/2oz football jig I typically do not have any trouble with overruns and so on as they throw very well. I do wonder if the slightly heavier Zillon would help balance the rod better though. Which of these two would you go with?

I use Daiwa reel the past 25 years to cast 1/2 jigs 50 yards all day long. The line is a major factor and I use 12 lb/ .011D FC.

The newly redesigned 2020 Zillion SV TW just came out and Daiwa claims greater distance is possible with the new SV boost 2 stage system. I'm grabbing one.

I have the zillion sv tw, great reel.  I dont think you can go wrong there.  They say the tatula Elite is a long casting reel. I almost bought one myself, I still may

I don't throw football jigs all that often, but I do throw 1/2 oz or 3/4 oz Biffle Bugs several trips per year.  I wish I had a rod like yours to throw that bait, but I don't, so I use a 7' All Star Carolina Rig rod and it has worked fine for me so far.   Anyway, I use a 200 size Curado spooled with 20 lb Abrazx to throw the half ounce ( most of the time ) and 3/4 oz ( sometimes ) Biffle Bugs.    I forget which Curado letter it is, but as I recall it is a green one and relatively new, so it probably is a Curado E.  I considered using a Calcutta TEGT, but the Curado is lighter ( which make a difference to me ) and with the half ounce weight casting distance is negligible.

 

Edit:  comment about post immediately above mine - As soon as you tell yourself that you "may" buy a reel, it is as good as bought.   Go ahead and get it so that you can wonder about the next  thing that you "may " get.

The Elite will definitely outcast the Tatula SV, no question. The older Zillion SV also outcasts the Tatula SV and the 2020 Zillion SV is supposed to cast even further, but I'm not sure how that will compare to a Tatula Elite in casting distance.

 

While football jigs aren't the typical jig for skipping, they're also not lures that need the longest casts. I mean if you ever plan to skip anything on this reel, then it's basically decided the SV is the way to go. But for football jigs or any of the other lures you could throw on that rod really you'll be fine with any of the above options it's just a matter of  preference.
