I am looking to get a new st croix spinnerbait rod for 3/8-1/2oz. I’m really lookin at the LTB 6’9 sniper or 7’ sweeper. Anyone use them? I am currently using the LTB 7’1 MH-F. Is it worth the switch?!

The 7' LTB Sweeper Spinnerbait is equivalent to the Mojo Bass 7' Spinnerbait model. The 7'-1" MH/F LTB is equivalent to the Mojo Bass 7'-1" MH/F. I have both of the Mojo rods.

The 7'-1" MH/F  *IS*  my spinnerbait rod, and it's one of the best I've ever seen for that purpose. I throw 1/2 oz. spinnerbaits.

I use the 7' MH/MF rod for jerkbaits right now. If I threw only 1/4 and 3/8 oz. spinnerbaits, I might consider it a good spinnerbait rod. I don't, though.

As in all things, YMMV.  Good luck!    jj

I have the Sweeper and really enjoy fishing it.

Light & responsive.

Prefer it for 3/8 and 1/2 oz spinnerbaits.  That's the sweet spot IMO.

For bigger blades, I like something beefier.

So sounds like you’d stay with the 7’1 mh/f LTB if you were me. That’s crazy usin a mh rod for jerkin. I’d like to try that.

I own the 7' LTB Sweeper Spinnerbait rod and love it for spinnerbaits and bladed jigs.   It has a moderate-fast action.  I also use it for buzzbaits, Zara Spooks, and Sammys.  It's a versatile rod for me and my main power fishing stick.

That 7'1 MH-F would be better suited for plastics or jigs IMO.  Good luck.
