^^ Everybody seems to like clown. Can't say I've had much success with bright colors at all but that's just me. I dont use them that much because I don't have confidence so it's a bit of a feedback loop.

Welcome to BR. Color above is Nishiki/clown. I also like Shell White/white and Aurora Black.

Welcome! For jerkbaits, “clown” and “fire tiger” are classics and if you’re looking for something bright you’ll be fine with those two.

I also like rapala’s “parrot” color which is a chartreuse body with a vibrant blue back but I’m not sure if any of their jerkbaits are made in that color. I know a lot of the crank baits are.

Thanks! I’ve got a few clown colored jerkbaits from a few brands but I can honestly say I’ve never caught anything but pike on them!

Thanks! And definitely know about fire tiger but I feel like I’ve been seeing more lately about these other (newer) colors so was wondering if I was missing out on something

White by a landslide for jerkbaits and topwaters for smallmouth.

On Big Spirit... Elegy Bone, but I'd suggest a ghost minnow color over the bright if you don't already own one.

Orange and blue beats all other colors for me. Makes no sense but it happens so it’s what I usually throw

Just to be clear, like a translucent whiteish?

Strike King makes a "Phantom Perch". I don't see perch ever, but it doesn't look real "perchy", to me.

Lots of love for Nishiki/clown.  Bigspirit, if you want to try a Pointer 78 in Nishiki look me up, I haven't been able to catch a cold with that bait in your lake.

Ha, that’s a bummer. I might have to reach out to you sometime, although I do have a ton of new baits to try out this year as it is!

Don't seem to do very well with those ultra bright colors.  More natural presentations like perch, shad, and bluegill produce better for me.

This is the box of jerkbaits that I have assembled currently...I don't use a lot of bright colors in the sense of bold, chartreuse etc, but I do use a fair number of metallic and reflective colors, and the more natural variety.
