Hello BassResource! I have spent a lot of time on this site over the past few months, and I've decided it's time to do an intro post. My story is that I used to fish a lot with my dad, and granddad as a kid. Then I grew up, got married, got a job, had kids, and somehow 20 years flies by without fishing.

Then the pandemic hit, many activities stopped, and boredom set in so I decided to go fishing. I caught some fish, and remembered how much I enjoy it. Unfortunately, my dad passed away a few years ago, and 2020 took my granddad, but I've spent as much time as I could this year honoring their memory by applying the things they taught me about fishing. I’ve also spent more money on new gear than I probably should have. Lol!

My username “fishlegs” is from the fact that I usually fish from the bank, and my kids love How To Train Your Dragon. I'm looking forward to continuing to learn from this site as I get back into fishing. This site has so much great info, and what seems like even better people. If any of y'all fish the TN river in the Pickwick, Wilson, Wheeler area I'd love to meet you.

I will take you fishing on Pickwick when we have a break in the weather.

Pick a few dates that might work for you.

Thanks, roadwarrior! I see Pickwick listed as one of your favorite lakes. I appreciate the offer, and I would be honored to take you up on it sometime. A great example of what I meant when I said this site has awesome people. ?

Welcome Fishlegs! I've got 2 young boys that are also fans of How to Train Your Dragon. I hear about dozens of them but Toothless is the only one I can ever remember.

Fishlegs is one of the human characters. He's a bit of a nerd...like me. I'm not cool enough to be a dragon. HaHa!

If I'm honest, I'd have to admit that I like the HTTYD movies as well. There are a lot of fish that are caught in those movies, right?

Yes.  I will be keeping the boat in Sheffield. Should be easy for us to get together.

I will let you know when the boat is ready to go and I hope you will be ready, too!!
