Sfritr Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Bought a new lowrance fish finder for my boat. I have had it for three weeks now and attempted to install it twice. The problem is that I have NNNOOOOO CLUE what i am doing. Ask me about a steak( I run restaurants) and I'll tell you anything you want to know, but install what should be a simple fish finder.......... God Bless all of you that are mechanically inclined. I will opt to pay someone to do it correctly. BTW anybody ever needs advice about food let me know Quote
Super User burleytog Posted June 10, 2009 Super User Posted June 10, 2009 What is the problem? All a matter of running the power wires to the battery, attaching the transducer to the boat (either TM or stern), mounting the graph and turning it on. Quote
Sfritr Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 well, problem 1. my fat@#% doesn't fit very well into the storage compartments to run the cord through the boat. 2. My FAT#$% doesn't fit very well into the spaces needed to run the wires. :) Would a drain snake help if I taped the transducer wires to them to run them through? Quote
skillet Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 A fish tape (electricians use them) would be a lot better. If you can't borrow one from a friend, they have short ones at Lowe's or Home Depot... skillet BTW GREAT answers for Burley ;D ;D ;D Quote

Then run your transducer wire and your good to go. If you are running a T/M off of this same battery your may get noise a lot of guys op to run a small lawn mower battery to power there electronics. Hope this was of some help for your other problem I guess lose weight so you can fit your fat #%% in there to work on it. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted June 10, 2009 Super User Posted June 10, 2009 ..BTW anybody ever needs advice about food let me know I need advice. What foods did you eat that got you to the point that you can't physically run wires through your boat? I'll stay away from them for sure. Quote
