Happy Thanksgiving my fellow bass, fishing and lure addicts. I was wondering who else will be throwing a lure tomar? I am going to the in laws (they live by a great Smallmouth stream) which means I’ll be smelling like brown bass before during and after the turkey is cut and the gravy is splashed on everything!!

I might rub a lil cranberry sauce on my Zoom lizard or dip him in the gravy!!!

Anybody else?

We're supposed to be in mid 60's tomorrow and been itching to go but my girls are coming in from out of town for Turkey and deer tenderloin.

All my gear is sit'n in the garage waiting but thinking the wife will say it's inconsiderate to go fishing on Thanksgiving day......not that I ask. Lol

I’m going to work for about an hour or two then fish until mid afternoon. Still going to moms but only 3 of us so no need to get there at 4 am and slice taters

Supposed to blow hard tomorrow, so I got mine done today. Beautiful morning, caught a couple right away and then blank for three hours, and then three decent fish right around 11, just before the wind arrived. . My jaw will be hanging correctly for tomorrow's activities.

I'll be going out tomorrow afternoon. The wife and I are going to avoid the usual gathering at her sister's house and just do our own thing. We've got rain and 50ish weather right now. Got out a little this afternoon between the rain and caught just a few on a bladed jig. This was the best. Not real big but big enough. Weatherman's talking about highs in the 30's and some snow next week.

Nope. Not me. I’m just going to stay home and chill in the recliner until the bird is ready.

If you think for one minute that I'd go fishing on Thanksgiving Day ..... you're right! I'll probably fish the river. Turkey at 5:00, nap at 6:00.   ?    jj

While I live on a lake I’m sure my fish have moved deep for the winter (our lake front is only 5’ max) but I’ll give it a shot, I have until 1 before we have to go to the other side of the lake for dinner. We’ll be driving as the G3 is hibernating.

We are skipping the traditional gathering so tomorrow my wife and I are going to pack a turkey lunch and head to Table Rock Lake for the day.

Same for me.

Slight chance I will be able to go tomorrow as long as it’s not pouring. 37 degrees and rain, no fun.

I'm going to fish all day Thursday Friday and Saturday.  I will be fishing Lake Chapala Jalisco Mexico.  Weather forecasted to be sunny with mid day temp. of 75 degrees.  Water temp should be around 70 degrees.  It will be my first chance to fish multiple days in months.   My wife is Mexican, so she doesn't mind missing out on a big dinner for a US holiday as long as I don't.  I tried to convince  her it was a US tradition to go hunting or fishing on Thanksgiving.  She didn't believe me.  My father and I always went goose hunting Thanksgiving morning when I was young.  I guess I should have said it was a family tradition.  US tradition sounds better because she can be skeptical about my family traditions.  Either way I am going bass fishing tomorrow, and think it is a great way to spend the holiday.

Well I'm working tomorrow..24-7-365 business I'm in so us shift guys are in to make Ethanol, corn oil and cattle feed. It ain't all bad I get 12hrs double pay-8hrs pto in my bank and they buy us ribeyes to throw on the grill. I'd like to be off spend time with my lady and do some fishing but at least they treat us all right.

I'd like to but we're having Thanksgiving at our house so I'll be cleaning and helping get ready all day and cleaning up afterwards. Nothing happening Friday either because I'll be hanging out with my boys so my wife can get her shopping fix in.

My father and I along with an uncle and a cousin used to sometimes rabbit/pheasant hunt Thanksgiving morning then head to the grandparents house for dinner.

My fishing partner and I got out Tuesday on the Hot side of lake Anna and he caught his PB from there.  We then went yesterday to the Potomac to see if the big crappie have moved in yet.  We caught a bunch but no big ones to bring home for dinner.  Not going today and I have to take my wife to the airport tomorrow so she can go visit her mother.  Because of COVID, I am staying home.

I wasn’t expecting to fish today but...successful day! Fishing underpasses on a bayou. I caught around 12 and had a few more come off. I would have caught 20+ with a bit more time but Thanksgiving dinner awaits!

I went fishing in the pouring rain this morning for an hour and a half. Got skunked. I would have got skunked if I slept in as well.

Going again tomorrow morning. I am a glutton for punishment. I will try for anything that bites!
