Michigander Posted November 25, 2020 Posted November 25, 2020 Anyone used the SSR guides from Mudhole? Price is certainly right, but curious if anyone has experience with them. Considering them on casting rods, a MH for Trigs and a Heavy for jigs. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Fuji Alconite are my go to. Lots of frame and size choices, undoubted quality and bang for the buck prices. I’m familiar and know what I’m getting. 1 Quote

That's what original plan was, but unfortunately, Fuji Alconite are discontinued. I couldn't find enough in the sizes I needed so I'm exploring new options. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 The black painted frame is ending not Alconite or K frame. 1 Quote

Super User S Hovanec Posted November 27, 2020 Super User Posted November 27, 2020 Black and polished silver are being discontinued in Alconite. They are still available through some dealers, but Mudhole chose to not replenish their stocks. I just got an order with some black alconites from another dealer that was dropshipped from Angler's Resource. 1 Quote

After looking around again, I'm sure I could piece enough parts out, but at this point I would rather just move along to something that's going to be available in the long term. Quote
