Larry S Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 We never hear anything about this lake anymore. Has it just died off ? I know Baccarac is the king around here EL Salto is also a fan favorite on other forums.. hear talk of Comendero but every report i see is 4-5 pounder ( who don't like those but you go south of the boarded for that DD or hopes of it.. anyway anyone know why Huites has dropped from the fishing radar??? Super User Dwight Hottle Posted November 24, 2020 Super User Posted November 24, 2020 According to the owner of LBL who also has a lodge on Huites it’s a numbers lake with a lot less big fish like Baccarac. If you want quality Baccarac is the answer even though it’s getting plenty of pressure. Quote
Super User king fisher Posted November 29, 2020 Super User Posted November 29, 2020 Lake Huites has major cartel problems. Hard to get access. 1 Quote
Super User Darth-Baiter Posted March 2, 2021 Super User Posted March 2, 2021 I fished Huites years ago. 200 fish days. Back then there were armed guys walking the perimeter. I heard they netted the fish to death. We would see boats loaded with tilapia headed to and fro. the car ride from that airport had my spidey senses on fire. Quote
