sicklecat Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 It's almost 2021. I hope 2020 will take along the virus with it. How are you guys been doing? Did you have some memorable catch this year? Do you have a particular target or goal before the year ends? 1 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted November 19, 2020 Global Moderator Posted November 19, 2020 I mean, 2020 is almost over, but it isn't like a big reset button is going to be pushed on 12/31/2020. 2021 could be a whole lot worse for all we know while we're trying to rush the days by. 6 1 Quote
Super User Catt Posted November 19, 2020 Super User Posted November 19, 2020 I will be staying up all night New Year's Eve, not to see 2021 but to make d**n sure 2020 leaves! 5 4 Quote

I'm hopeful that they develop a good vaccine and get it on the market in a timely but safe manner so we can at least slow this way down. Just think its foolish to believe that we could go to sleep one night and wake up with the slate wiped clean. 2 Quote
Super User Spankey Posted November 19, 2020 Super User Posted November 19, 2020 I’m not gonna kick too much about my season. Caught a nice handful of really nice greenies. Caught a nice bronze 3 weeks ago in the lake (my first in this lake) for me they have been a tough catch to find there. I have two grandsons that I try to get out with me as much as possible. Both catching bass on artificials. My oldest set the bar with his personal best this season. 18” and 3+ pounds. My youngest lost a nice one this season and It broke my heart. Bothered me more than him actually. We done everything right. It happened. Fish on. He’s catching bass that’s the main thing. Spending time with them means more than anything. Good day or bad day of fishing. I’m going to try to get out on Sunday. I’m pulling the plug on my season for the year after that. Been a very tough bite the last few weeks. If my season ends with that nice bronze back. So be it. It won’t be end in a negative way. 2 Quote

Well you know that’s not gonna happen overnight because things have gone from bad to worse. Just be as safe as you can, try not to let your guard down, try to be conscious to where you are and who you are around. Things will get better. I wish EVERY guy on this site the best in regards to this pandemic. I don’t want any of us to get it. I hope the moderators will let me say that. I truly mean that. Thank you. I will not get scientific or political because I am neither. Good Fishing. Quote
Super User NHBull Posted November 19, 2020 Super User Posted November 19, 2020 I mirror all the sentimatments mentioned above, but I am the eternal optimist and see a lot of positives we may take going forward. Educational technologies are light years ahead of where they were Our medical system can be ramped up when necessary Supply chains have been built and reinforced. Made in the USA is coming back Hopefully we will be better prepared for when this happen again. Our economy while damaged did not crash. Neighbors are actually looking out for neighbors. Lower level medical professionals are once again appreciated. Parents reconnected with kids ( fishing/hunting) ......I can't help it, that's how I am wired 11 2 Quote
TcRoc Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 While 2020 has not been pleasant to say the least. I did get out with my youngest (19) more than ever before. He caught his PB , a tick over 4. I hope for health and wellness for all in 2021 and a lot less pressure on the water ways. 1 Quote

Super User Spankey Posted November 19, 2020 Super User Posted November 19, 2020 I’m essential. Do repair work related to energy. I’m glad I had to work. And I DO NOT know how it feels to be effected. Life altering it effects me I can’t imagine it is good. I have to be great full for that. But I would have liked to have been off from mid-August to mid-September. That the envious part of me coming out. But I hope everyone comes out of this ok. I realize the workplace may not be the same for everybody. Life will be different. 3 Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted November 19, 2020 Global Moderator Posted November 19, 2020 Fishing wasn’t the greatest this year but we fished. My son didn’t have football so that was a bummer. He’s still in school while most are doing remote learning so I’ll call that a plus. I’m in the utility business so I’ve been busy this whole year even through the shutdown this spring. My wife started a dog grooming business last fall. She was shut down for a couple months but has since exploded beyond our wildest dreams! While 2020 has been a very strange year, I’m very very thankful we’ve been fortunate that it hasn’t hurt us like it has for so many. 3 1 Quote

Super User Boomstick Posted November 19, 2020 Super User Posted November 19, 2020 Well I caught the largest fish that I ever weighed on a scale (5.43lbs) and it wasn't even the biggest fish I caught this year, just the largest one where I didn't leave the scale in the truck. I haven't got the virus ye or lost anyone to it, and I fishing kayaks for myself and the kids so that was pretty fun 2 Quote

She still has to deal with the people aspect and still has uncooperative dogs but she’s met good people and good dogs. 1 Quote
