Title says it all. What are some decent ones under $50? From what I have read on a lot of them can have the coating easily rub off, just looking to see what you guys have or still use.

Got tired of exactly that happening so I switched to Costa's. They cost more but there worth it. Wiley X are also good.

I bought the KastKing Hiwassee for $30 and they have a decent lens and frames. I have only had them 100 days but the coating has not wore off yet so I think they are great for the money.

Someone suggested Shady Rays during the summer and I bought some for my wife. They are pretty good, free shipping, and have a great warranty policy.

I agree that costas are the absolute best option but you can avoid their price tag should you desire to.

I second both the Shady Rays and the KastKing. I have both and like them equally. I've dealt with both customer service dept. and they seem like good people.

One more for Shady Rays.  I bought my son a pair and I got a spare pair, of their choice, for free. He likes the pair he has and the pair I have I use for working outside.  They get hit by lots of grass and debris when I am using the weed wacker or my saw.  They are not exactly safety glasses but they have done well so far.  I would say they would be great for fishing.  Plus, if you loose or break a pair, they will replace them for free.

I’ve had two pairs of the Kastking both were very comfortable. One had major rub off issues, the other no issues. I’m on my second pair of Huk. The first pair had issues with the rubber coming loose. They replaced them as soon as I sent a picture of the issue. To be honest they’re not comfortable for a $50 pair. The Kastkings were more comfortable. Come to find out Huk leases their name to another company.

The best I’ve had by far is the Strike King S11. They’re cheap, lightweight, fit my pumpkin head, and the coating doesn’t rub off after a rain drop hits it.

Ive heard good things about the Rye Surrenders for a few years now. I have a pair of Oakleys with the Deep Water Polarized lenses that ive work everytime I fish for the past 3-4 years and not one single little spec of rub off. They are the first polarized glasses ive ever had so didnt know that was a thing until this thread. I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

Shady Rays here too.  I had to use their lifetime warranty recently on a pair of mine when the frame broke when I dropped them.  They sent me another pair no questions asked.

I've also have had Fish Gillz.  They aren't as high of quality as the Shady Rays are, and they have pretty cheapo lenses, but they float.  Which makes them great for anything I'm doing in the water such as floating or swimming.

Not that you do but if somebody wears prescription glasses and is looking for a fit-over pair of sunglasses I highly recommend Cocoons at $45. I have two pair and both work very well, don't make you look like you're wearing Elton John glasses either :).
