I have it narrowed down to a Yumbrella Flash Mob Jr because of the weight and size. I will be mainly fishing in ponds with a once in a great while lake trip. I have tons of DK Squadron 1/8 oz swimbait jig heads and various soft plastic swimbaits and white curly tail grubs. Was thinking about getting a pack of Big Bite 3.5" Cane Thumpers for it as well, because I have some 5" I could use for the back attention getter hook.

Would this be adequate? Should I put two 1/8 on bottom and two 1/4 oz on top? I read it helps them from rolling. Then 1/8 oz on the back wire with the bigger swimbait?

I fished that rig just this weekend (the one with willow blades).  I have fished Alabama rigs that it did help to put a heavier jighead on the bottom wire (or 2, I guess), but that one I rigged every wire with 1/8 oz jigheads and 4.3 Keitechs.  It didn't roll as a rig at all.  The ones that I've had worse luck in rolling are the 3 wire rigs.  I know some people like to put one bait that's bigger than the rest on their rig, but I haven't done as well that way.

I'd be inclined to put the heavier weights on the bottom of the rig.  In Missouri, where only 3 hooks are allowed, I put jig heads on the bottom 2 wires and the center wire.   The top 2 wires get dummy baits, secured with a hitch hiker.

Gear wise, I have a 7'9" Fenwick AETOS Heavy action rod or sometimes I use an older 7' Team Diawa Muskie rod.    For a reel I got a Curado 300 E.  In my experiences I've found that 20 lb mono casts better than 55 or 65 lb braid.

It is easy to get it too heavy.  I use 1/16 and 1/8 oz heads with 4/0 hook.

I like flukes on mine.

I'll be using a 7'2 H/F with 60lb braid to throw it on. Shimano SLX XT for the reel. Its a bit fast at 8.2-1 but I'll just reel really slow.

Also I got it backwards and meant 1/4 oz on bottom but that's a good idea to use 1/16 oz if I offset the weights. I'll probably start with Swimmin Flukes because I have them already. Everything else I have that's smaller I have less than five of.

Another question. Does anyone mix and match colors and profiles or the same color and size on all five?

I use more than one color most of the time.
