And most times you can find the Korean made revo x inshore for 110 metal framed ..if u like that color enough and have a talented friend  with a airbrush get it painted

From what I've heard this one just isn't up to spec for what they are charging for it. It just doesn't make sense why it's over $100 let alone $150. Revo S is a better reel and it costs close to $100.

I saw this for the first time in the May Bassmaster:

 

"At the end of the day the activity tracker will read 5,000 casts."

 

Does this refer to a feature that explains the pricing?  Can't find any other details, and it's not listed as a feature on any retail sites.  I know they are putting the catch tracking button in the "virtual" rods, but why is that caption in the ad for the Zata reel? ?

Yes it’s made by Doyo but still overseen by Daiwa and yes I own “true” Daiwa reels, but if you haven’t used them you shouldn’t knock them either. If I’m not mistaken Abu manufactures none of their reels but continue to receive tons of praise for many of their other products. Lews also comes to mind if I’m not mistaken. Just saying there is an awful lot of criticism for a couple reels in Daiwa’s large lineup.

I watched a review on this reel. From what I saw it had dual brakes. 4 pin internal and an external adjustable magnetic brake.

So, since it probably came out of Doyo factory - it's just a slightly changed Lews Tournament MP or Lews KVD.

 

Same braking system on both those - 4-pin centrifugal and magnetic.

Sticker says made in Korea so that theory is correct.

 

Looks like it has more magnets than my Mach Crush.

 

It’s graphite framed so not quite a Tournament MP or KVD both of which are aluminum framed.
