Gonna hunt tomorrow but Sunday I'll be at the lake Dark & Early. The water finally dropped below 70 Tuesday, so it's bout to get good. Goodluck everybody.

Working all weekend but plan to get out Monday. Temp looks like mid 50s and chance of rain...kinda fishy looking.

I’m hitting my load all golf course pond on my kayak tomorrow.  Cold front came ripping thru.   Curious how it changed things.

I'll be fishing Saturday for my 53rd birthday. Just me. Sunday I'll hang with some family. And hopefully fish on the way there too :)

Edited to add:

Fishing is extremely important to me right now. Work is frustrating, the news has been almost too much to bear, I need to get out and bad! I will enjoy the relative solitude no matter how good the fishing is, and it's still pretty good here.

I went out for a few hours this morning and caught a couple under two pounds. I decided to try and mix things up by fishing lagoons that I usually don’t fish.

The best part of the day was flopping a big spinnerbait towards cover and inadvertently landing it on a big catfish and seeing the spooked catfish grab a little air time.

We’re having a virtual memorial service for my father tomorrow since the Canadian border is closed and we can’t intern him at our family plot. After that I’m heading home so my fishing season might be done for the year.

I’m home. Late start which was okay because it was cold by California standards.  I was in the water at 9:30.

caught a dink right off the bat, so u was happy “no skunk”.  I went to a bassy spot, sent in my presentation and got a decent one. He put up a really good fight.  I was honored.

just got done removing leaves from my yard.

2.5lbs?  Maybe close to 3. Dunno.

I went Saturday . Duck hunters had me blocked from implementing my game plan . Still ended up with a limit of fifteen inch keepers all on a spinnerbait .

Im fixing to in the home lake in a little while. It’s warm , windy, and mostly cloudy. Seems like it might be a good spinnerbait day, and its always good with plastics!!

Will post results later...

went this morning, windy, little wet but otherwise not a bad morning to walk the banks. 14 little ones for my efforts.

I wasn't planning to, I had put away the kayaks for the year.  A guy who's kid is friends with mine said he hadn't been able to find a kayak to buy this year made me feel sorry for him so I took him out after I finished teaching Sunday School.  We didn't have great luck, we had to go to a reservoir close to where we live and it's small with a lot of pressure and not a lot of fish.  I did manage 1 nice bass on an Alabama rig.  I'm glad I didn't spend the afternoon taking leaves

You finally got that Topwater.  I thought you ordered that back a couple months ago!  That's breaking in the right way.

Took the mrs. out sat., could not get the o/b trim to work. I launched anyway and with the breeze limiting where i could go (comfortably) i zeroed. Got up this morning, turned a screw on the trim/tilt and heard fluid flow. It works! And today nicer than yesterday, i went out and caught 1 smallie (18.25", 3.6#) on a bladebait in 14 fow. Saw 2 bigguns shallow and couldn't get them to bite. In fact, they swam away. I can call it quits now . 48 degree water.

went out this morning and struggled early. my usual spots weren’t producing, but i managed to stumble across two areas that were holding some fish. i had to anchor, and fish deeper, in the wind. never easy but that’s where the fish were. i ended up with 5 spots and a rare largemouth on the day. life is good.

It's the Sportsman 120 PDL actually. Pretty similar to the Topwater. Ordered it back in July.

Got out Saturday to check the Crappie honey holes and caught a few.  They haven’t moved in yet and we’re still deep in their summer holes.  Boat traffic was pretty heavy with everyone trying to get a few last trips in.  Will be heading  out again Wednesday this time on the Rappahonock instead of the Potomac.

Man it was a beautiful day yesterday. Out at sun up. No wind, like glass. Got on the spots I wanted to hit.

But I stunk the place up. I could not buy a bass. Few hits. I believe they were bass.

Have rain moving in at midweek. Will try to get out before it. Weekend is looking wet. Looks like I’ll be getting wet. I feel the need to stick with it a few more times out.

Wife, the 3 month old, and I went to a cabin for the weekend. Couldn't have asked for better weather. Highs in the 70s and lows in the 60s-50s. Was quite windy and with a young kid, we tried to stay in sheltered areas so she could nap (she has the worst startle reflex with wind). Was able to catch quite a few on the T-rig with a craw or stick on some isolated, barely living pads I found. Also a good number of bites on bushes/laydowns with the same technique. Used a lipless quite a lot as well, but could only manage one on that. Then got a half dozen or so on the Ned rig. Missed just as many bites on the Ned, but I'm new to it.

The weather was awesome, so I got out to the river on Saturday for a couple hours.  I was trying small hair jigs and plastics.  I was hoping for a smallie or two, but managed 4 walleyes.  Possibly my last open water outing, as the weather is turning really nasty today.

Weather just changed from gorgeous 80's to mid 40's for the early morning.. I'm to try the Fall bite here in AZ with this weather change on the coming Saturday!

Did some trout fishing last week and it was OK.. mostly stockers.  With C-19  and folks working from home everyone is on the lake early morning or late afternoon.

I thought I would have a leg up being retired now  LOL ..not so much now
