I just wanted to say some good things about the two baits from their line I've put in my boxes and also say their customer service is 2nd to none!

The Quake 70 is awesome.  You know when a bait has the juice?  This lipless crankbait has it.  Chuck, wind, and those hooks are gonna bind up a bass.  Oh, and the stock hooks need no changing.

The Crush 50 has also been amazing.  It comes through cover well, but when it doesn't it floats up akin to a balsa bait.  Bang and burn it around shallow cover and hold on.  Once again, the stock hooks are great.

Most importantly, I called 6th Sense this morning and the boss, Tyler, picked up.  5 minutes later a new Quake 70 in Shad Burst was on the way to my door after a few fish knocked the eye out of the one I had.  I'll definitely be picking up some new eyes to make the repair, but in the mean time 6th Sense has me covered.

I'll be a customer as long as these folks are making baits.

I've had a good experience with their customer service as well.

I had a new crankbait of theirs expand and split at the seams. I've heard of this happening before from the heat but this is the first time experiencing it myself. This bait was in a Plano box in my boat's storage compartment.

I emailed them and they asked me to send a pic, which I did. They promptly mailed me a new one.

What clarity of water are you throwing this guy in, Catt?  Conventional wisdom tells me I need to work it in stained and dirty water, but I'm sure your experience and knowledge trumps my own.

They're nice baits. I've like most of the baits I've tried from them.

I’ve had that happen to every single brand of any hard bait I’ve ever bought. Must be a weather thing around here (humid?)

Oh, and one more thing.  After talking to the owner and getting a new Quake 70 headed my way, I asked him what hooks they're using on their hard baits.  They're Mustad.  That makes me like them even more.

I've driven a Mustad Ultra Point through the roof of a mouth and back in.  Mighty fine hooks!

Yep, I'm a huge fan of 6th sense crankbaits. I hope to try a provoke soon if I can find a color I like in stock somewhere!

I'm hoping to try a Provoke as well.  I'm really curious as to how they perform in the water.

I'm assuming better than they perform out of the water. :fishing2:

I did well with this Quake 70 Friday. Don't ask me why I picked this color.

Hate to bring a dead post back to life but I picked up a couple of the quake 70s at an expo yesterday and they are some amazing looking baits. They both have a relativley light rattle and one definitely has less rattles than the other. Does a lipless bait need to be super loud? Will I catch more fish on one or the other? I know I already bought them so I should just fish them, I just hate that they aren’t exactly the same ?

Hard to say ~ they both work for me at times.

And I have one Very Special 'Silent' lippless bait that has almost No Paint left on it.

Lost count of how many times I've changed the hooks & hardware.

It's the 'one' bait I may actually consider going in after.

So there's that.

@A-Jay - what color did it used to be?  Chrome sexy shad?

This started long before the Lund, in the Old Town.

Hard to tell now but it's a silent gold sexy shad.

Went and bought a few more because I thought it was the color.

Didn't notice it at first but couldn't figure out why this particular bait was getting more bites.

The deal was the internal weight that is in a fixed position, making it silent,

became just a little loose inside the bait.

(I think I may have bounced it off the Minn Kota on a cast one good time)

So rather than a rattle, this one makes a really faint click.

Been a good bait for me for 2-4 lb brown bass & unfortunately pike.

No trophies yet but when I'm in search mode, this one's wet.

Since this thread has been revived, I've journeyed farther down the 6th Sense rabbit hole.  I stopped by an Academy on the way to the Hobie Bass Open Series on Lake Seminole to grab a few baits and couldn't not grab them.

I chose the Shad Burst for clear water, Live Shiner for sunny days, and Threadfin Shad for dirty water.  They all slowly rose on the pause, but clipping a VMC Touch-lok Snap in size 1 has them suspending nigh perfectly.

They walk beautifully, and often turn all the way around on a snap.

They also get snapped up by bass.

Do you ever fish those red eyed shads in areas without grass for smallies or largies for that matter?

Rarely - there's almost always some kind of soft cover happening.

And while the 6th sense baits are very good and I have & fish several including the suspender & the FRS,

large.20201220_182031.jpg.3fb46fcbc0a45395f46ea245b1b20f51.jpg Sometimes the shimmy fall of the RES is what they want; especially after a rip out of the grass.   So that's what I give them.

That's a negative, ghost rider. Silent (or much lighter sounding) lipless cranks are an essential part of lipless fishing IMO. If the bite slows down on a Red-Eye Shad, I'll switch over to a Rattlin' Rapala which has a much softer rattle and they'll fire up again for it. Sound profile is probably the main thing I consider when deciding which lipless to throw.

I recently found an older Yo-Zuri Livebait Shallow Vibe 60 (in gold/black, my favorite), and it's dynamite. Very tight action but completely silent....I'm afraid to throw it now because I can't find any more to buy!

I am looking forward to trying them out this year havent used before but I have stocked up on a few of the baits this year.  Just need this snow to go away and get on the water.

I’m a big 6th Sense fan and my most productive lipless crankbait has been the Quake THUD 70 in Lava-Treuse:

While I haven’t used them much yet, I’m excited about the two Quake 80 Suspending lipless crankbaits I have from them as well in Rayburn Ghost and Sensory Shad.
