Jonas Staggs Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 Hi guys. So I got a deep creek lures large swimbait. I thought my standard 5/0 ewg hook would fit it and it does not. What size hook do I need for these types of baits. Here is a link to the one I have https://www.deepcreeklures.com/product-page/baby-bass-2 Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted November 1, 2020 Global Moderator Posted November 1, 2020 By the looks of it I would say at least a 6/0, most likely a 7/0. Mike 1 Quote
Super User JustJames Posted November 1, 2020 Super User Posted November 1, 2020 Owner weighted beast swimbait hook. I’m not sure how long that lure but probably 6”, so 6/0 might fit. Take the lure to Tuners, they carry owner beast in stock. You have to consider about gap from body of plastic to shrank of hook too, for better good hook set. 3 Quote
MitchellO86 Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 Hard to say for sure but I'd guess a 6/0 screwlock would do the trick. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Owner_Weighted_Beast_Hook_w_Twistlock/descpage-OWBWT.html?from=gshop&gclid=Cj0KCQjwufn8BRCwARIsAKzP694lF558SPfsRVoQcekstI3RmF6rC7qBZzQpNJQ0n-QsVUGVh4fxsbYaAjj5EALw_wcB They also offer them un-weighted. 2 Quote
