Anyone use one of these?

I'm an IDIOT.........I'm possibly purchasing a third boat and rather than buy another trolling motor I thought about trying one of these brackets so I can switch a TM from one boat to another. I assume that I will buy the bracket then have to buy another "puck" which is the part that mounts to the boat.

Any input would be appreciated.

I got one years ago.  It was one of the first designs out and is no longer made that way.  It was a little cumbersome to use but the good features were I could pull the TM off the boat whenever.  No more worries about theft and when we family camped it was convenient to pull the thing off the bow when we went skiing or tubing.  The newer models appear to be made a little more user friendly.

I had one installed when I bought my boat for the purpose of deterring theft.  I love it, it is easy to use and you can padlock the whole thing if you choose.  It is more stable in my opinion that just mounting thee TM to the boat as well.  Just my 2 cents.
