There was a lot of hype around these when they came out...touted as the resurrection of the old excaliburs that get so much love. Who has used these? How do you like them? Are they as good as the old ones?

I assume you meant Booyah? If you do search here there were quite a few threads about them when they were just released or before they came out. Lots of info in those.

I am a crankbait fiend so I of course picked up quite a few last year when they were so cheap @ Cabelas.

I've only fished them a couple times and they definitely dive very shallow. Not bad for the price I paid.

Yep I meant booyah. I remember several threads building up hype before they came out...was hoping to hear some follow up from guys that have used them alot.

I tossed it some this summer on the vacation lake and due to the mood of the fish, didn't catch anything on it. I will say the action seemed the same to me. I think it runs shallower due to the wide aggressive wobble it has. For me I always thought that it punched a huge hole in the water and fished bigger than it is. If the bite slowed I would switch to something less aggressive like a bandit 100. On the old Xcal I even had a trophy musky take it, show  itself on a nice jump and come off after said jump lol.

I bought 10 when they were on sale, they seem like great baits for 3 bucks a piece. I have admittedly only fished them in the swimming pool but I will put them to great use in the spring. They wiggle like any other squarebill and they don’t even very deep which is great for me actually. Anyway there is no way they don’t catch fish.
