I'm looking to see if anyone had any experience with this reel, or what reel is similar. I like the way it looks but has a lower gear ratio 5.8 as the name suggests. Is this a good reel? Where's it excel or lack?

Thanks!

Megabass Alphas SV/SV105.  I'd love to have the 7.2 or the 5.8 but already own two Alphas SVs and something like 4 other Alphas/Pixy reels.  The Lauda is sort of a soft reboot of the Zonda without as much custom work as the Zonda had.  It's a nicer Alphas SV.

Ok cool so a finesse reel? It's a nicer SV CT?

More capacity than the Alphas SV CT.  Nicer is that it has a better paint finish and the clear side plate along with other Megabass detailing.  I also believe that MB reels start as top tier Dawia specimens before getting the MB treatment.  A greary out of the box MB reel is pretty rare.

The Lauda also has compatability with Alphas 33mm spools unlike the 30mm CT 70.  That is a big plus to some.

Ok cool I apply all your info. What would you consider a good price for one? I saw them on Ichiban Tackle but shipping is almost $40

I used to have a alphas CT SV but sold it and am looking for a finesse reel to go along with my SS SV. I think I just might go with the alphas 105

Ichiban has a very nice PX68 right now for $178. I have several and they are great reels.

I appreciate your recommendation! I've wanted a Steez and just went with a 103.
