ThomasL Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I purchased a used stratos and when i got home and started really going over it i found what i call fender boards, the carpeted boards inside the fender area the boat bumps up against is warped or cracked. It is only attached by three bolts with locknuts with the plastic inside. They are roughly 2'x3',should i buy marine plywood then glue on carpet side and staple with stainless staples on the tire side?It looks to be 1/2" wide i have not removed them yet,i think i can get them off without having to jack the trailer up and remove the tires, hhheeelllppp!!! :-[ Quote
Super User Catt Posted May 22, 2009 Super User Posted May 22, 2009 Yelp that's what I did with 258V but you don't need marine plywood Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted May 22, 2009 Super User Posted May 22, 2009 I had to recarpet one on my Champion trailer. I got everything together and went to the lake. I launched my wife in the boat. She played around while I did the work in the parking lot. No boat in the way while I did my job. Quote
Super User skunked_again Posted May 22, 2009 Super User Posted May 22, 2009 i used PVC garage door jam material to replace my runners. Quote
