Many members here, including myself and @A-Jay, are more than ready to provide helpful opinions and info on this site. I have nowhere near the experience others do, but 35 years of bass fishing in several southern states does account for something, I guess. Quote

No hackles, he mentioned a bait, they sell three different sizes so I asked which one he preferred, you chose to interject yourself into the situation, I've been fishing for 40 years and have been on this site for many years but, my comment and post numbers aren't high because I don't go posting on things and commenting on stuff for no reason. 1 Quote
Sissyfishing Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 Do you prefer a slow or fast retrieve? calm water or a heavy ripple? suspended bass over creek Chanel’s ive noticed in summer a overcast day or a heavy ripple on the water works best, winter calm bright sunny days work better both have bass feeding over the creek channels Quote
Super User WRB Posted October 23, 2020 Super User Posted October 23, 2020 The only time I dead stick a walking lure is pulling out a professional over run. I prefer rear feathered treble hooks in poppers not walking lures. Prefer top water lures that sit tail down at rest because they tend jump out of the water like a panicked bait fish the 1st pull. Most anglers fish top water too slow IMO. When to use a top water...whenever you hear or see surface activity or just feel like it. Tom 1 Quote

Sissyfishing Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 Sometimes you get the urge like that pencil poppers half way out of the water too I never backlashed since I don’t own a baitcaster 1 Quote
00bullitt Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Have used all of the ones mentioned for years. Recently tried the Berkley Highjacker 100 and LOVE that thing! Easy to walk and great to work fast or slow. Quote
Super User ATA Posted October 25, 2020 Super User Posted October 25, 2020 check this one, new kind, I just got it and going to try it soon, it should be something, especially it is snag-less(thats the reason I got this one). https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/search-tackle.html?sort=no&start=0&count=30&searchtext=pathfinder On 10/23/2020 at 2:33 PM, WRB said: Most anglers fish top water too slow That is correct and I hear that from so many Pros, I myself trying to do topwater faster for awhile, Lets see the reward Quote
Super User J Francho Posted October 26, 2020 Super User Posted October 26, 2020 That looks like this soft plastic Heddon came out with in the late 80s. It was a dud, but on the surface a good idea. Quote
Steelhead Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Evergreen SB 105. There's a 77.7(3") model which has been recently introduced and it's availability is very limited. The Hook Up Tackle has some but at $25usd delivery charge here to Canada, it's not going to happen. Megabass Giant Dog X. LC Gunfish 95. LC Sammy 100. Quote
Ben77 Posted October 27, 2020 Author Posted October 27, 2020 I settled on the evergreen sb and the river2sea rover pro tuned both in bone. The vixens when they become available will also be part of my collection. Does anybody fish the livingston boss or rapala skitter v and if so are they worth it? Quote
