Fixed Broken Rod question

If I get a 6' 6" MH rod with the small top section of the rod broken off and get it fixed, it will be right around 6ft. Its a Fast Action Rod, Is this going to alter the action quite a bit? Since alot of the bend would come towards the top section of the rod, I would assume this would make it a much heavier action?

Yes it will change.  Even an inch or so will make a change.

Its one of my fav rods that a someone is selling. I would like even a slightly heavier action but im just scared its going to be crazy stiff now like a pool cue.

I wouldn't think that it would be a pool cue....but close. I would guess that it would now be something like a H/Mod or maybe even an XH/Mod

An XF has a thinner tip than a Fast, so how do you figure that breaking the thinnest part of the tip will make it even faster? It will be more a moderate action because it will now go straight into the backbone.

I agree ... at 6" you've likely lost a guide in addition to the tip top.
