I was up early (5am), having coffee. It was warm inside, so I opened the window, and a moth flew in. Followed by his buddy!

I haven't seen a live  bug in 4 months! Must be spring?

I've driven it, just not fished out of it :P

Test drive and re-winterization.  Was a brutal day.  So hard to buy something new and then plop it in storage.  Boat is up at Mille Lacs...but will make it home before ML unthaws.  Lots of new things to put in her.  Can't wait.

Winter is classically my favorite season.  Normally I would trade more of it for a shorter summer, but NOT this year.  The fish are calling!!

Record warmth possible here in the Twin Cities next week.  And it was like -20 just a couple weeks ago.

Massive storm headed towards Colorado, Kansas, Wyoming, Nebraska, and South Dakota.  Potentially record snowfall in some areas.

old news in S. Texas.

Hit 80 yesterday and again today - redbuds are blooming, white bass are running, and spring has sprung.  Problem is, our spring doesn't last long, and zips right to S. Texas summer.

I’ve actually trained lots of south Texans how to fly cast. They informed me there are two seasons down there, summer and Christmas

We have frogs croaking here. That's the only authority I trust that winter is over.

They croak pretty loudly in the snow here, especially the southeastern chorus frogs.

here in minn i dont mind the waiting. Maybe in 3 weeks the ice will be melted away from the always slightly open culverts enough to where i can sit in a chair and bobber fish for crappie and just be lazy about it untill bass season opens in mid May.

The red river here is allready open, i walked down to it and picked out some areas to fish come warmer water. The water temp is still 35 F and waiting for 50 for the pike spawn.

Its the heavy wet stuff too that really sucks to shovel.  Won't stick around too long though.  The rest of the week looks warmer every day and sunny.  Potentially 60 degrees again in a week.

I summerized the snowmobiles and put the wheeler plow away on the trailer.  Going to watch this melt and not deal with it. :P

I gave mine the once over after winter wash a couple weeks ago. Ford chrome running boards don't like roadsalt. Have to use chrome polish to remove the oxidation every spring. Don't have that issue with the chrome bumpers.
