Has anyone fished with these blanks? I'm wondering about the action & weight on both of these models. I'm also curious about the 765c, because it is made with Fiberglass, but I read that it doesn't have a glass tip like most composite rods, but instead the fiberglass is woven in throughout the whole blank. It's rated up to 2 oz. lures and most seem to get it for moving baits, but I'm looking for a heavy cover rod, flipping/pitching & frogging and was wondering if it would get the job done for what I want to use it for.

I just went ahead and bought the MB-733, MB-736, & MB-7109. I'll just cut the 7'10 Mag Heavy down about 5 inches and use the MB-733 as a Finesse Spinning rod and put G2 Carbon grips and reels seats on all of them. Expect some more questions about guide sizes and what not coming soon.

I ordered a MB 736-1(X-Ray LMX) and DVT put it together for me with a carbon full handle and some spiral wrapped torzites.

The build weighed 4.45oz and was balanced for the Revo Black 10 in my avatar which is pretty heavy. He can probably tell you more about the build than I can ?

I also have a Kistler Zbone in the same length, but that is more moderate and rated to 1oz. I use the Kistler for a more general purpose fishing rod and the custom is my worm and jig.
