Nice looks full of eggs.  Ours here are just starting egg development.  They won’t have bellies like that for months.

White bass that size I don't mind catching. It's them little 6-10 inch flopping jerks that don't put up and fight until you try to unhook them and then thrash all over and fin me like I tried to grab a porcupine. Thankfully this time of year is when the big mamas in the 1.5-3 pound range are all over the banks trying to break your wrist when they hit a bait.

My favorite! I could smell cornmeal and Wesson oil when I read your post........

 

ive heard tale of them blowing up the surface down river from me recently  but I haven’t made it down there yet
