Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted October 7, 2020 Global Moderator Posted October 7, 2020 I heard some good Eddie Van Halen stories from my musician buddy down at a local watering hole tonight. He had a buddy that grew up idolizing Eddie and the buddy finally met him and recorded a few songs, I would just have to tell y’all the stories in person. Hilarious! I would say Rest In Peace but I don’t know if Mr Van Halen would enjoy peace Quote
Super User Bird Posted October 7, 2020 Super User Posted October 7, 2020 Seen him in concert in early 80's, superb guitarist indeed. RIP Mark knopfler is probably my favorite guitar man though......sultans of swing. 2 Quote

Super User Boomstick Posted October 15, 2020 Super User Posted October 15, 2020 I could only imagine what it must have been like to hear the first Van Halen album when it first came out. The tone was incredible and EVH was basically faster and cleaner than any rock guitarist was before him. There's a reason it was the second most influential rock guitar album. RIP Quote
