Super User roadwarrior Posted October 6, 2020 Super User Posted October 6, 2020 The very best of the best... https://www.businessinsider.com/patrick-mahomes-best-qb-nfl-chiefs-super-bowl-2020-1 Starting off this year just where he left off. Most importantly, he comes off as a great guy. I love his commercials! Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted October 6, 2020 Global Moderator Posted October 6, 2020 He does seem to be the real deal. He appears to be a good guy, which is good because my 10 year old son looks up to him, which is scary these days with a lot of athletes. Quote
DanielG Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 Even though he just beat my team (Pats), right from the beginning when he came on the scene I made it a point to watch him just to see him throw a jump shot or a curve ball. Very impressive. If he stays well, and continues to mature he's gearing up to be the new goat down the road for sure. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 7, 2020 Global Moderator Posted October 7, 2020 I hope he stays humble and doesn't let the money go to his head. Being a Chief's fan, it's easy to route for him, but he seems like a good person as well. My boys love him and get really excited when they see him on TV. He helps with the community. I do wish the media and such wouldn't talk about him quite so much because I know people are already getting pretty burnt out on hearing about him. My entire life of being a fan has been plagued by mostly awful QB's and guys at the tail end of their careers, first round playoff losses if they even made it, culminated in a 2-14 season the year before Reid took over. Now I'm trying to enjoy having "The Guy", while it last. Quote
Super User slonezp Posted October 9, 2020 Super User Posted October 9, 2020 And we passed on him (Da Bears) for Mitch who is no longer our starter. Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted October 10, 2020 Author Super User Posted October 10, 2020 After playing college football for the University of Michigan, Brady was drafted 199th overall by the Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft. Due to his late selection, Brady is considered the biggest "steal" in the history of the NFL Draft.[8][9][10] He went on to become the team's starting quarterback in his second season after an injury to Drew Bledsoe and played for the Patriots for 20 seasons, the NFL record for seasons as quarterback for one team. Following the 2019 season, Brady left New England and signed a two-year deal with the Buccaneers. Quote
