Super User J Francho Posted October 6, 2020 Super User Posted October 6, 2020 I’m stuck in between the hip crowd and the break a hip crowd. 10 Quote
DanielG Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 Actually, admiration for the GaGA. She, like Miley Cyrus, Madonna, Jaylo, and a couple others run their music like a business. They maintain control, carefully meter their music releases, and as the get older they reinvent themselves. The branch into movies, some Oscar winners, and other areas. It's a business to them and they manage to stay clean and work the capitalist system to great success. Some may or may not like their music and/or 'look' but one thing is for sure, they are smart cookies in that they manage to stay viable from 18 to old age. 1 1 Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted October 6, 2020 Global Moderator Posted October 6, 2020 I watched the first 10 seconds and shut it off. Looked like they’re trying to mimic Janet Jackson. Mike Quote

J Lo still makes a killing in the Latino market too. She's done some great stuff with Álvaro Soler that was tremendously successful worldwide. (I'm a bilingual redneck) 1 Quote
Super User DitchPanda Posted October 8, 2020 Super User Posted October 8, 2020 If that's hip who would want to be? I didn't even listen to it but can tell by the picture I'd get more joy out of eating a handful of broken glass 1 Quote

I believe they said J Lo was #2 raking in $35M last year Quote
Super User Bird Posted October 8, 2020 Super User Posted October 8, 2020 Was always a Waylon Jennings, Haggard, George Jones type growing up but after our kids introduced us to the " hip" scene......our house echoed with Justin Bieber and Rhianna. Could have been worse I guess. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted October 8, 2020 Super User Posted October 8, 2020 It's really easy to find music you don't like, much harder to find some that moves you. Quote
