00bullitt Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 I picked up two of the new Zodias rods; a 7'2" Heavy Fast and 6'10" Medium-Heavy Fast. Liking them alot! Need another cranking rod and prefer graphite with the right action. Anyone had an opportunity to put hands on either the 7'2" Med/Light Extra Fast or Medium Moderate/Fast? Thinking one of those will make a sweet cranking rod, but no where near me to put hands on. Quote
DomQ Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 There is a 7'2" M MF 2020 version, I dont think they have the glass 2020 version, I was told you need to get the old one for the glass crankbait specific rod. I've got the 6'10 M F and 7'2 H F JDM versions and I love them, so comfortable, not as sensitive at my expride but I like using them more to be honest. Looking at getting the 7'5 MH F soon. Quote
Crankin4Bass Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 Nice! What techniques are you using the 7'2" Heavy rod for? Quote
00bullitt Posted October 6, 2020 Author Posted October 6, 2020 @DomQ I specifically want the newer graphite rod. Not a fan of glass or composite. Been using Loomis GL3 843PR & GL2 844PR blanks for 20 years to crank with. Long before Loomis started offering dedicated cranking rods. For me....no reason at all to use glass. Curious as to the action of the Shimano before I get an IMX PRO 903C. @Crankin4Bass Using the 7'2 H-F for T-Rig and Light Jigs. Plenty sensitive. Very equivalent to my Loomis IMX and E6X. The 6'10" MH-F is seeing use as a Spinnerbait/Chatterbait rod. Bought both while waiting to get two Loomis rods back from warranty repair. 2 Quote
