Motorguide in brackish water

can i use my motorguide in brackish water its a power plus older model????   Are the motors sealed  with  saltwater protected o rings or what??not saltwater protected like the great whites,Im thinkin after each use sprayin it down with fresh water like i do reels and rods

I asked this question last year about my Minnkota Endura used in the Bush River.  The answer was that it should hold out and that it was rare to see a Riptide being used.
