Those are rather heavy rods for  7' mediums:whistle: Ive been spoiled:snooty:

My Tatula has been replaced by a custom Phenix X-10 that I built and weighs 3.9 oz.

The Fury has been replaced by a Conquest 843c which weighs 3.8 oz.

I also have an Xtasy 723c which doesn't match the Conquest on the scales, but feels almost just as light in the hand. And, I just built 4 custom X-Rays.

So, I'm a little spoiled myself.

Tatulas are definitely lighter than fury’s maybe you have a composite tatula.

I would consider dobyns for the trade up option they have. They give you a decent amount of credit to trade up to a higher model.

Or I would call around and find someone who will sell you st croix victory for close to 150. You will find someone if your buying multiple rods at the same time and you call enough places.

Just an observation:  Daiwa Tatula casting rods have one less guide compared to the respective Fury.  Roll the rod under full flex and feel the line contact the blank.  You’ll feel it and hear it. Too bad Daiwa shorted one guide to prevent that because they are nice rods at their price point.

No where on the rod or in the description did it say it was a Composite rod though. I have a Dobyns Glass 704cb and a Phenix X-10 which are also both Medium Power and are Composites. The Tatula is also a crankbait rod, but it has a lot less flex in the tip than the other two, and it's less parabolic. It doesn't seem to be Composite.

The OG Tatula's were a lot lighter than the Fury's. My new version in the old Tatula's would weigh 3.9 oz.

Also, the Dobyns Champion 704cb Glass weighs less than the Champion 704cb Graphite, but I know that isn't normally the case.

St,Croix premier 7ft m/l $10 more than a bass mojo and it is made in the USA.  I like this rod more each time I take it out.  It is been a killer 3.8 swim bait rod.  I’ve got a abu premier revo paired with it.  Using 8 lbs Berkley %100 flouro

The mojo blank is 10x the blank the premier is.  Made is Southern US...or at least what maybe soon at some point.
