Just bought my first rage bug yesterday. 4” Blue flake for 3/4oz jig.
Question about these 4”. Why are they packaged in a hard plastic  packaging?

To maintain the shape of the bait.

Black and blue. When I want to mix it up, I go blue and black. Standard size. It's a good trailer for skipping a jig.

4" Rage bug in Green pumpkin. Texas rig with 1/4oz weight and a 4/0 extra wide gap hook. I'll usually touch the tails with a spike it pen if i'm feeling fancy.

4". I went to check and I'm out! I had one on a rod though.

I see pros recommending you take a little off the nose of the bait, but I don't. It skips well if you leave it alone.

I'm usually using a Rage Bug on a Texas Rig but I have used it as a jig trailer at times.

My best colors are

Blue Sapphire

Black Blue Swirl

Black Neon

Watermelon Red Glitter

Summer Craw

Contender for Lure Of The Year

It's certainly my lure of the year. Rage bug in some variation or size has accounted for 75% of the fish i've landed in 2020. Fantastic lure. I should call strike king and see if they'll sell them to me in bulk? lol

Trailer on the Fogy..... interesting. Ive had so much success with Zakos on Fogy and Jack hammers this year I never even though about using a bug trailer.... USed the Rage Menace rigged vertical though. Thanks for the idea!

HUmm never even seen the Magnum size either...
