When there's an abundance of especially 4 to 5 inch yellow perch wondering around a flat of half dying weeds, I lose sleep. Past two seasons it was on like donkey kong by mid August. This year, Just not happening. I am so stubborn and just refuse to good deep, choosing instead to beat the areas I expect the bait to show up in to a froth; despite the lack of bait. Yesterday it was sunsise to sunset. Brutal. Because I am the very definition of insane, I struggle. A-Jay I know guys that fish Lk St Clair frequently and they are struggling right now too. I think the colder nights have triggered the fish to start moving from the depths towards the shallows. But A-Jay you of all people should know with smallies they can be in a huge school one day and gone the next. They are just following the baitfish. Your lack of bait was a good suggestion not to fish there. 1 Quote

It's either cold rain, big wind or both. And tomorrow night & Friday night guess what's coming in . . . . I am not even going to say it but it rhymes with BLOW, DOE, FOE, GO HOE, JOE, KNOW, LOW, MOE, NO, POE, ROW, SOW, TOE, YO & ZOE. (Not real sure about that last one, but I think you get the point). Been a Crazy Year. A-Jay 1 Quote
