Pleasantonbassin’ Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 I’m looking for a new jig rod, I have the nrx 873 for my Texas Rigs and my soft plastics but I’m looking for a nrx for mainly 3/8pz jigs and rarely 1/2oz. I was debating between the 894 or the 893. what do you guys recommend? Quote
freelancer27 Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 894c . Throws 3/8oz well with the right reel and also can push up to 1oz in case you need it. Quote

Consider the Megabass X bites & the Daiwa Steez bottom contact rod too. 1 Quote

Super User NHBull Posted September 23, 2020 Super User Posted September 23, 2020 The conquest 3 power fishes heavier than the NRX and can often be had for the same $$$$$...Just a thought 1 Quote
tim_kovar Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 I would do the 894, especially if your in any cover at all. Quote
Frezzy Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 I use my 893 to bomb 1/2oz jigs plus trailer. The reservoir I fish is all open water though. Quote
