Difference in Sunline fluoro

I see they have Sniper and Assassin and not sure if they have others. But what's the difference? Thought about using Sunline FC on a chatterbait setup I'm putting together.

They use a process that changes the line that they say makes it more manageable and abrasion resistant. 
 

It’s different than just adding a coating of flouro to nylon like some other lines.
It changes the structure of the line itself. 
 

I’ve heard that because the process makes it slicker than a 100% flouro line like Sniper, more knot care should be taken. 

 

It’s the next step down from Sniper in their lineup.

I like the Sunline products, they are a little pricey though. I use 14 lb Shooter for spinner baits & chatter baits. For Buzz baits & top water I use Defier. Depending on how heavy the cover is I'll fish the buzz on Shooter also. Both these lines have good abrasion resistance.

I can't see any reason to use FC for faster moving lures.

Sunline Armillo Defeir Nylon has all the qualities you want. 15 lb Armillo is .0126D for example.

I’m a big fan of Sniper and have used it on a variety of moving and finesse lures. I used Sniper 14 for my Chatterbait set up for years and liked it well enough.  
 

However we get a lot of pike bite-offs here in the North and I’d go through line fairly quickly which can be expensive.  I switched this year to Yo-Zuri Hybrid 10 lb test (same line diameter as Sniper 14).  It has worked well too, similar stretch, strength and maybe a little better knots.

I have used both. Assasin may be a little more manageable when its new, but in my experience sniper is more forgiving on knots and seems to last loger. I no longer use assasin. the small difference in price was not worth it to me.

I looked and there is even more than just those two in FC. I dont understand why I guess. Like fluoro Night, shooter, blah blah.

Shooter is stiffer, and more abrasion resistant, than assasin or sniper. I don't use it much. Too stiff for me.

Fluoro Night glows under a black light for night fishing.

They also now make specialty lines for certain applications.

Ok good to know. So Sniper sounds like the best bet for what I need and want.

I have tried Sniper on a few occasions.  I liked it but I found it to be inconsistent and it didn't tend to last as long I would like.   I also tried Assassin.  I did like it better but overall I have had a better experience with Seaguar Invizx and Tatsu respectively.

So ive been a fan of Yo-Zuri Topknot and that's the only straight fluoro ive used. But today I decided on Yo-Zuri hybrid instead of going Sunline or Yo-Zuri straight flourocarbon. Kind of spontaneous actually. I was set on fluoro but when the moment arrived I went hybrid.
