Depending on where you are, especially in the Northeast and Northwest, I find that green bass prefer a sustainably-sourced cold brew from Costa Rica with just a touch of citrusy sweetness and a carmel note. The brown bass prefer a chocolatey Ethiopian blend with a darker roast and finer grind. The spots will drink anything black with caffeine.

You're chock full of nuts.

Thought a Jamaican blend would have been perfect.

Long as it ain't 'Blue Mountain'. That stuff is WAY out of my budget.

I just looked it up, and yikes - that's out of my range, and I am a big spender on coffee!

I use to get a pound of whole-bean from my MIL every year for Yule. Great stuff, worth the price...if I could afford it now.

There are days when the 8 sided coffee scent Strike King Ocho's just outfish any other stickbait I try, one trip, my son had the only pac of ochos in junebug. We fished everyone till it wouldn't stay on the hook, when they ran out our fishing got real slow :( Was it the multi sides catching light different or the coffee scent making them hold on longer? Maybe both who knows.

I’m not a coffee drinker. I drink whatever is around and that’s not very often. You might be right with the price. It all seems high to me. The old lady uses these pods that go into the maker. Prices seem to be all over the place on those things.

I’ll try them again this weekend. But I’ll be quick to throw the same U Tail that is not scented. To see if anything shanges. But if they are not into U Tails that day again I’m moving on.

Couple of guys were telling me about the Strike King stuff with coffee and line and lure conditioner spray by Reel Snot.

If I pull off a nice fish that will be great. If not no big deal. I don’t have the time Berkley has to spend on scent development. Bass may find it to be offensive and stay away from it.  Nothing would surprise me with these Yankee Bass.

Don't think coffee scent will hurt no more than garlic. If its like my experience some days it will work other days it won't do any different than unscented plastics. I will warn you that reel snot is very greasy/oily and as such attracts dust and dirt to your reel, I like the KVD that dries hard and don't attract anything. Nothing to do with fishing success just a sticky substance on spooled line ,spool, and bail. Good Fishing!

For the guys discussing coffee, I love blue mountain Jamaican coffee better than even the Kona. Best in the world far as I'm concerned :)

Amen, brother. Black, rinsed cup. Rinse and repeat, week after week.

Me too- but I use the same styrofoam cup as long as possible...

Just a heads up. Last night during the hockey game I had seen where today (9/29) is free coffee day at Dunkin’ Donut. Just throwing it out there. I’m not really a coffee drinker but some of you guys seem to be. Good? Bad? I don’t know. Just laying it out there.
