FisherCouple Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 I was hoping to get some feedback from anyone that may have or have fished in one of these boats. I have a chance of buying a 2004 Tracker Tournament V18 with a 90 Horse Mercury 2-stroke...boat is fully decked out with 52lb motorguide trolling motor...fishfinder...divided livewell....tons of storage....great looking trailer. The motor runs great....it's a one owner...been stored in a heated garage. I can get the boat for $9,000 and was wondering if that seemed to be a fair price...a steal? too high...etc. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted March 10, 2008 Super User Posted March 10, 2008 Mine is a 2006 19'. I paid $19200 in Nov 2006 from BPS. This is my 2nd Tracker in 20yrs. My only prob is that it's a tad underpowered for me. It has a 90 optimax 2 stroke, aluminum prop. I could probably tweek a few more MPH out of it but I don't bother. The motor has NEVER given me a problem, knock on wood. The boat pushes almost 40mph with 2 men at 450lbds plus gear. I think you are getting a great deal as long as the motor checks out ok. I use mine in saltwater too and have not experienced any problems. Good luck. Quote
HPBB Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 I fished out of a V18 a few years ago, and it was a great boat. It had a 150hp on not a 90. I think the 90 is the base motor package. It should push it ok. Great layout. just like a bass boat with the comort of a deep V. handled the waves really good. I have a Sea Nymph deep V with a walk tru widshild ( walleye type boat). and the tracker V18 ran the waves almost as good as my boat, mine is bit deeper, but I really loved the layout like a bass boat. It is wide open. Sounds like a good price at $9k. always offer less. Bassn Blvd wrong style tracker boat. the V18 is a deep V hull with a bass boat layout. I like you boat to. I fish out of a 175ptx alot and love it to. and that 2 stroke carb 90HP is a great motor. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted March 10, 2008 Super User Posted March 10, 2008 The owner has that unit a bit underpriced. He could easily get another $700 or so for it. Quote

fishingfourfun Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 I bought my 2003 V-18 for $8000 last year and absolutely love it! It has a 115 hp and pushes the boat nicely. The layout of the boat is great. Quote
