I have always loved the look of jointed rapalas and rebels coming through the water, and I've caught a lot of fish on them, but when watching fishing shows and videos, and reading articles, I honestly can't ever remember seeing one being used, or recommended.  What's the deal?  Too old school?

Jointed Rebel, and Rapala plus inline spinners are all I take when wading creeks for smallmouth.  May be old school, but they work.  Have you ever noticed, that almost any place that sells tackle in the entire country sells them.  That is because they work.

Old school lures work as well today as they did many years ago. Jointed Rapalas and Rebel lures are very good fo river fishing.

Jointed Rebels are some of my favorite lures, along with the non-jointed minnows too.

They have a special wobble to them, less snakey than Rapala minnows. Both are excellent lures.

They definitely don't have any hype these days.
